1947- 1953

A total of about 165,000 displaced persons were admitted to Canada, “including large numbers of Poles (23 percent), Ukrainians (16 percent), Germans and Austrians (11 percent), Jews (10 percent), Latvians (6 percent), Lithuanians (6 percent), and Hungarians (5 percent). ”
